Well, my sister and I left Tuesday and flew to Minneapolis, MN and came back on Thursday. I spent yesterday sleeping in late and doing nothing. Vacations are great stuff.

We went to Minneapolis to see Manic Street Preachers (our favorite band). They played at the Varsity Theater, which is a very nice venue. It was an old theater that was renovated and had a very nice, vintage look. I would very much like to go back. Minneaplois was really nice, too. The people there were pretty friendly. Unlike when we went to the Northeast, people could tell we weren't from the area, but they were surprised to find out we were from Texas.

And, of course, being the mallrats we are, we went to the Mall of America. THAT WAS SRSLY AWESOME. I just wish we had more time (and money) so I could play around in the amusement park. We both pretty well went broke at the mall. It was good that we packed light so we could take a bunch of stuff home.

OH. AND IT WAS COLD. We went from highs in the 80/90s to highs in the 50s. One night, it got into the 30s and we had a hard time figuring out the heating in our hotel room. We stayed at a Radisson on the University of Minnesota campus. It was a nice hotel, too.

Anyway, the concert was amazing. Every much worth all the money we spent to go there and stay. The crowd was so lively. I sang to every song. I even remembered the words to Motown Junk, which surprised me. They played lots of new and old songs. It was a good variety of songs. We got a really good place right up at the front of the stage, just a few feet away from their bassist, Nicky Wire. They talked to the crowd quite a bit, too. If they never come to the Texas area, I think I'd go back to Minnesota to see them. And I do hope it's not another ten years before they come back to the U.S. I don't think it will be, but still.

Blah, blah, blah. I could go on about the awesomeness of the concert, but I'm going to shut up. I might get some stuff done while I'm off. Can't promise anything, though. My main priority is getting some transportation.
